For my Mbiol I’ll be looking at the evolution of territoriality in birds using phylogenetic comparative methods for discrete traits. This will involve looking at how different characteristics such as mating system and feeding traits affect the evolutionary patterns of territoriality. Outside of my degree I am a keen amateur bird watcher and nature enthusiast. Additionally, I’ve raced and bred pigeons for the last 10 or so years which has been the driving force behind doing biology at university and being interested in birds.
